What country do I start with?
Every player starts with Germany.
What does a trade licence do?
A trade licence lets you start and finish jobs in that country.
When do jobs appear?
Jobs only appear when you own trade licences for both the origin and destination countries.
Can a free player buy trade licences?
Yes. Free players can buy one extra trade licence using in-game funds.
Can subscribed players buy more licences?
Yes. Subscribed players can buy unlimited additional licences using in-game funds.
Do free players earn funds?
Yes. Free players can earn funds up to the free lifetime cap.
Do subscribed players have a funds cap?
Subscribed players earn funds uncapped while subscribed.
Why did my final payout differ from the quote?
For free accounts, the €150,000 lifetime earnings cap can limit the final amount paid. The job quote shows the job’s value, but free accounts cannot earn beyond their cap.
Why did I earn +0 XP?
Free users do not earn XP. Subscribed players earn XP from completed jobs.
Why did an aircraft disappear from the live map?
Aircraft are shown while the companion app is actively sending updates. If the companion app closes or stops sending updates, the aircraft marker disappears shortly afterwards.
When does live map tracking start?
The companion app reads local simulator information before you start a job. Project Carga journey tracking and live map position updates begin after you click Start Job.
What happens if I do not finish an accepted job?
Accepted jobs expire after a limited time. The timer starts when you accept the job, not when you depart.
If a job expires, it can no longer be completed and the reserved freight returns to the network. If you know you cannot run a job, abandon it from the Active Job page so the freight returns sooner.
Can I recover a job if the companion app closes?
If your flight was already under way, reopen the companion app and return to the Active Job page. Project Carga can usually reconnect to the active job once the journey has begun.
If you accepted the job but had not departed yet, return to the origin and start it again from the Active Job page.
Why did cargo stock change when no player delivered there?
Some locations use stored freight over time through local demand.
This represents the local area using cargo that has already arrived. It helps keep the network active and can create fresh demand for future deliveries.
Why did my pilot job fail to complete?
Check that the companion app stayed open, the job was started before departure, and the flight was finished at the correct destination. If the journey cannot be confirmed, the Active Job page will guide you on what to check next.
Why can I not start a trucker job?
Check that ETS2 is connected through the companion app, that your in-game freight job matches the Project Carga route, and that your trailer is attached.
What are Operations?
Operations are shared network activities inside Project Carga. They can highlight active goals, locations, events, or cargo targets.
What does the leaderboard measure?
The leaderboard ranks completed cargo tonnage. It is based on how much cargo has been delivered, not how much money a route paid.
Where do I download the companion app?
Use the Download Companion page to get the latest Windows installer and check system requirements.
Do free players earn XP or rank?
No. Free players do not earn XP or rank progression.
Who earns XP and rank progression?
Subscribed players earn XP and rank progression.
Can everyone appear on the live map?
Yes. All account types can appear on the live map while actively tracking a job with the companion app.
Are bonus route multipliers available to everyone?
No. Bonus route multipliers are subscription-only.
What should I call my balance?
Use funds or €. Project Carga uses funds for player-facing account balances.
